1Peter 3:15 … Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence.
Nabeel Quereshi, Apologist and Public speaker once said when you ask a Christian “WHY they are Christian, they tell you HOW they became Christian… ‘I am a Christian because my parents are christians’.” Nabeel pointed out. The issue and critical question is Why? Peter, who has had both personal encounter and experience with Jesus Christ said every Christian needs to be clear about why they believe what they believe, in other words, the reason for their faith and hope in Christ.
It is important to note that our belief is solidly based on the Love Jesus Christ demonstrated by His death on the Cross, on the one hand, and our personal experiences of His ever presence in our lives.
We have faith in Christ because of the transforming experience we have when we fully accepted and made Him Lord over our lives. This is real, physically and spiritually. No religion or belief even comes close to giving this experience. You also can experience the abundant love of God the father, through the Son by the power of the Holy Spirit.
