Young Christians call for rebuilding of 900 churches

Nearly a thousand churches have been destroyed by Islamist terrorists according to the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria at a recent executive council meeting in Zamfara State.

The chairman, Evangelist Musa Misal, said the destroyed churches spanned the states of Borno, Gombe, Yobe and Adamawa and others in central Nigeria.
The youth council called for federal funding to rebuild the destroyed churches. They also called on the government to revive the Nigeria Inter-Religion Council (NIREC) to bring back religious dialogue to curb conflict.

Musa Misal, declared that the “continued attacks on Christians in Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, and Taraba communities are neither instantenous nor are they “accidental”. The attacks, he said were pre-planned and orchestrated. He therefore called on the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai, to be just and show equity in his administration.
